Potty Humor

Alex is in the midst of potty training and I just have to laugh each time he talks while doing his business. Just today he said "Poop come out my butt!" immediately followed by "Poop not come out my wee-wee!" At least he has the basics down.

A Cheap Slut

I love me some FailBlog and this one was too good to pass up (plus I know you clicked on the link due to curiousity about the post title).  Looks like you can buy some cheap sluts in Singapore.  Not really sure what the misprint is supposed to be though.

The V Trailer - Lizard Aliens are BACK!

I'm all sorts of excited for the return of V on ABC and now we have the official trailer at ABC.com. It definitely captures some of the spirit of the original and I really love the quick shots of lizard skin we see towards the end. The cast looks solid (highlighted by Lost's Elizabeth Mitchell) and the effects seem decent. I'm hopeful that this could be another solid reboot a la Battlestar Galactica. The executive producer is Emmy-nominated Scott Peters, the person behind the acclaimed USA series The 4400. No official series start date for V, but ABC has it mentioned as a mid-season series in their Fall lineup. I really didn't expect the show to be produced this quickly after only hearing about it in January. Let's hope they don't rush this and botch the chance to fill the void left by BSG.

Do NOT Greenlight THIS!

Word from The Cinematical has Lorne Michaels (creator of Saturday Night Live) contemplating taking the MacGruber character from SNL and turning the skit into a feature-length film.  I have to admit I've come around on MacGruber a bit after despising the skits early-on, but this would be a giant mistake that might even make The Ladies Man look like an Oscar contender.  MacGruber wears thin after two minutes on SNL.  Multiplying that by 45 or 60 is just cinematic insanity.  Even the annoying Target checkout lady would have a better chance at holding an audience through an entire movie.  I'm hoping (but not at all confident) that Michaels was rip-shit drunk when he revealed this idea.

For those of you who haven't seen the parody of MacGyver, here's a Shia-infused version:

Adam V. Kris

It's showdown time tonight as the two best singers in this season of Idol face off.  Due to work obligations, I am going to keep this short and sweet.  We've over analysed these two for weeks now and I still think Adam is the class of the competition.  However... I have soured on him a bit in the past few weeks as his delivery is starting to become very repetitive (when was the last time he sang a song without sticking out his tongue and belting an overly obnoxious high note?).  Kris just continues to re-invent himself each week and his turn on Kanye's Heartless in the Final Three was perhaps his most original effort yet.  I think the rise of Kris will make the finals a lot closer than people are anticipating.  I also think the vote will be pretty close in case of a gay backlash against Lambert.

In the end though, I am predicting that Adam wins in a squeaker but both of these two will be big hits on iTunes for years to come.
