Cherry Rum on Fire?

As most all of you know... I like to try new things. If a new product flavor comes along and it's not Blueberry or Watermelon, I feel compelled to give it a try at least once. Recently I was in Puerto Rico and went on the Bacardi factory tour. Unfortunately the newly introduced Torched Cherry flavor of rum was not available for sample at this point.

Apparently, according to the good people at Bacardi this new offering is defined as such:
Combining the rich, bold taste of Barbados cherries with the light, smooth infusion of Torch Plant aloe, BACARDI Torched Cherry flavored rum is a refreshing spirit with a distinguished taste. Torch Plant aloe is a succulent, nectar-rich ingredient indigenous to South Africa. It pairs ideally with Barbados cherries, also known as Acerola, a fruit that has recently received considerable attention for its versatility and sweet, robust flavor.
Sounds interesting and I do like me some artificial cherry flavoring. I will probably try to sample this within a month. When I do I will post my review. I'm sure a lot of you reading this will think this particular flavored spirit idea sounds nasty. I will try it though because I bring that service and sacrifice to the American people each and every day.

By the way, Mountain Dew Typhoon flavor is awesome. Sort of a mix between Dew and Hawaiian Punch.
