However, there are two key points of difference: 1. The X-Files became a big old mess with its overarching storyline and actually ended up directly contradicting itself. 2. The relationship dymanic was completely different. There are no complete skeptics on the Fringe team like Scully was. All 4 characters (if you count Astrid) seem to roll with punches and there is little &amp;quot;there is no way that could be&amp;quot; type discussions. So that, to me, gives it a very different flavor than the X-Files. I actually prefer that the overaching storyline is going slow because you don&amp;#39;t want the writers to blow their wad and end up in a last season X-Files type situation. Sorry for the novel but I LOVE the X-Files!</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6241633066612315091/8535647798473068827/comments/default/3623655365339790205'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6241633066612315091/8535647798473068827/comments/default/3623655365339790205'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.thejordanblog.com/2010/01/on-fringe-of-mirroring-x-files.html?showComment=1263566694911#c3623655365339790205' title=''/><author><name>Stacey</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/12682866063792535916</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='00245695198712838622'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.thejordanblog.com/2010/01/on-fringe-of-mirroring-x-files.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6241633066612315091.post-8535647798473068827' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6241633066612315091/posts/default/8535647798473068827' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
